It鈥檚 that time of year again, the tree planting season is back and with it comes a boost to local businesses.
Having kicked off the season on May 3, Hybrid 17 alone will be employing 120 planters, plant 8.5 million trees, and may inject as much as $500,000 into the local economy.
As an important part of maintaining our forestry industry by contributing to the long-term environmental sustainability of our region, tree planting companies contribute economic, ecological and cultural benefits to our seasonal workforce. In town, their general business dealings with local restaurants such as Tandoori Grill and the Office Pub and Grill help sustain the local economy.
By routinely clearing out the local thrift store, they inject funds into our healthcare system from their purchases. When working out on Southside Hybrid 17 will rent out resorts and get repairs at local shops, the 亚洲天堂 Lake and Southside communities can expect to see an uptick in business thanks to planting companies out there as well.
Tree planting companies have also been known to hire local event organizers, as was the case when they hired Lisa Palmer-Moore, a local dance director for some square-dancing at Francois Lake Hall for a night of festivities. All of this, when compounded with their role in the forestry industry, contributes greatly to the economic stability as a region.
While the planters themselves are in and out of town whenever they have the time to swing by, they and their employers hope that everyone appreciates the splash of color tree planting brings to our summer culture.
