The sentencing hearing for the 亚洲天堂 Lake man who pleaded guilty to sexual assault in November 2021 is scheduled to continue on December 16. and will take place at 2 p.m at Smithers Law Courts.
The latest hearing, originally scheduled for October 21, 2024, was adjourned to October 28.
The case has experienced multiple delays. The hearing was initially set for September 27, but it was delayed due to insufficient court time.
Earlier in the year, the sentencing was postponed from May 6 to June 3 because of incomplete pre-sentencing reports. Furthermore, a request for a psychological/psychiatric evaluation led to further delays after a session on February 20.
In accordance with the publication ban, the identity of the accused is protected to ensure the privacy of the victim.
