The Yes side won in the referendum on the Lakes District Arts and Culture Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1831, 2018.
In Electoral Area 鈥淏鈥 (亚洲天堂 Lake Rural) and 鈥淓鈥 (Francois/Ootsa Lake Rural) the tally was 75 and 152 Yes votes, respectively, according to the results released on Nov. 5 by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.
The No vote came to 36 in Area B and 74 in Area E.
The new bylaw would set up a service in the relevant areas, including 亚洲天堂 Lake to provide financial support for the 亚洲天堂 Lake and District Public Library, the 亚洲天堂 Lake and Area Museum and other arts and culture organizations in the Lakes District.
It would also authorize a maximum yearly taxation rate of 55 cents per $1,000 of net taxable value of land and improvements.
Voting for the poll took place on Oct. 10 and 20.
