Auditors pleased with Worthing's work at the Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake

The Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake's 2010 financial statements have proved to be in good order.

During a special meeting of council last week Edmison Mehr, chartered accountants from Smithers presented an auditors report.

Both Brian Edmison and Michael Mehr said to council that they were very pleased with the work that chief administrative officer (CAO) Sheryl Worthing had done in keeping the financial statements in good order. Before her appointment as CAO this year Worthing was the village's director of finance.

A statement by Edmison and Mehr on the report noted, "In our opinion the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Corporation of the Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake."

The consolidated statement of financial position reports that the village's total financial assets in 2010 amounted to nearly $11 million dollars.

The revenue gained by the village in 2010 was reported as $3,863,833 and was gained from property taxes, income earned from First Nation reserves, the sales of services and the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena.

The villages expenses during 2010 totaled $3,632,619 which provided a surplus of just over $231,000.

According to the report the village have a total of $724,682 invested in fixed assets and nearly $2 million in a Municipal Finance Authority of B.C. money market fund.
