鈥淚t鈥檚 an absolute dream come true. It was an incredible team to be part of and having the opportunity to spend almost a year filming wildlife that surrounds my home on Vancouver Island was an amazing experience that I鈥檒l remember for the rest of my life,鈥 said Hohn.

鈥淎 huge thank you to the team at River Road Films and Wild Space Productions for bringing me onto the series and a massive congratulations to the entire team for their hard work and dedication.鈥

The series was filmed in 2021 during the pandemic. In Natural History TV usually film crews come from the UK to work on productions such as this one, but because of the travel restrictions, the network sourced local talent in British Columbia to film the series, including Hohn.

He drew upon his experience working with a variety of wildlife. Hohn is a certified commercial diver, rebreather diver, underwater and above-water RED camera operator, tech diver, cave diver, experienced drone pilot, and acclaimed photographer. He鈥檚 also a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.

Since the documentary, Hohn has worked on Our Planet II (released on Netflix June 14, 2023), Secrets of the Octopus (coming to Disney on Earth Day, 2024) and Shared Planet (coming to CBC in 2025).
