Citing time constraints, 亚洲天堂 Lake councillor Quinten Beach resigned his seat on village council effective Feb. 26, 2013. Beach, a forestry business owner, served one and a half terms as councillor.

鈥淨uinten was dedicated throughout his term to his role and to 亚洲天堂 Lake,鈥� said 亚洲天堂 Lake Mayor Luke Strimbold. 鈥淲e are sad to see him go.鈥�

鈥淚 want to take this opportunity to thank Councillor Beach for his time on council. He is a valuable member of the community and 亚洲天堂 Lake is fortunate to have him as a resident. I wish him and his family well in years to come.鈥�

Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake CAO, Sheryl Worthing, expects a late spring by-election. Competition for local attention will complicate the scheduling of the by-election.

Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake council will discuss the details of the by-election over  remaining council meetings this month. The appointment of a chief electoral officer for the by-election will trigger an 80-day countdown within which a by-election must be held.

Beach offered no further comment for his resignation from council.

He will stay on as a board member ComFor Management Services, at least until the annual general meeting when board members are re-appointed or new ones introduced.
