Feb. 1 - Open Mic Coffee House

The next Open Mic Coffee House takes place on Feb. 1 at the Lakeside Multiplex. Doors open at 6:30 p.m, and the music goes from 7 to around 9 p.m. Enjoy the performances of local entertainers, as well as refreshments at intermission by donation. The shows get better each month, with youth performers, 鈥榝irst-timers鈥� and established Lakes District performers. Come early to get a good seat 鈥� shows are very well-attended! Admission is $5 for non-performers (children 12 and under are admitted for $3), and performers are admitted free. Proceeds support the 亚洲天堂 Lake and area Scouts. Feb. 8 and Feb. 9 - 鈥楢nnie: The Musical鈥� at LDSS

The LDSS Drama Department presents 鈥淎nnie: The Musical鈥� in the Multipurpose Room at the high school on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9. The show starts at 7 p.m. on both nights, with a 3 p.m. matinee on Feb. 9. More details will be available from LDSS closer to the event. Think about supporting the aspiring actors, singers and dancers at LDSS, and enjoying this classic Broadway show.

Feb. 13 - 鈥榃est My Friend鈥� at The Bakerei

Victoria-based West My Friend, an indie roots and chamber-folk acoustic music group with three part harmony will perform on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at The Bakerei on Third Avenue and Highway 16 in 亚洲天堂 Lake. Admission is $20, and besides great music, attendees can meet neighbours and friends and enjoy The Bakerei鈥檚 great coffee as well as savoury and sweet treats.
