During a recent fire chief's conference in Abbotsford, 亚洲天堂 Lake Fire and Rescue Department's deputy fire chief Rob Krause was awarded the Meritorious Achievement Award by the Fire Chiefs Association of British Columbia (FCABC).

The  award is the highest award of recognition that can be conferred upon an active member of the FCABC and the nominee must meet the following criteria: Promoting the maintenance and improvement of the fire service in British Columbia, provide an outstanding contribution toward the prevention or suppression of fire and the preservation of life and property, and/or promote in a significant manner and with significant results; information relative to fire control matters within British Columbia.

According to the FCABC, Krause has also spent countless hours providing fire departments in the region with wildfire urban interface awareness and training and he has also travelled all over the province, and many other areas including Australia in his job with Ministry of Forests fire protection branch.

Krause has spent the past two years developing a National Fire Protection Association wildfire interface awareness course for structural firefighters. Every new member of the FCABC receives the DVD so that  firefighters across the province can access the information to keep themselves and their firefighters safe on the fire ground.

Krause was presented with the award by the president of the FCABC fire chief Steven Gamble.
