The first concrete pour at the Lakes District Hospital and Health Centre took place last Friday, July 5, 2013. The concrete work will be completed by a local contractor.
The new hospital and health centre project costs $55 million and is cost shared between the Province of B.C. and the Stuart Nechako Regional Hospital District.
Seven local people have been hired at the site and also the excavation bid went to a local contractor.
