Village of Burn Lake councillor Susan Schienbein submitted her resignation from village council in a letter dated July 2, 2013.
鈥淚t is with mixed feelings that I tender my resignation as councillor for the Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake effective immediately,鈥� Schienbein wrote.
鈥淚 have accepted a job in another community and this will not allow me to finish my term.鈥�
This was Schienbein鈥檚 fourth term as village councillor. Her position with the Village of Clinton will move her a little closer to her father in the Penticton area.
Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake council will officially receive her resignation at the July 16, 2013 regular meeting of council. According to Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake Chief Administrative Officer Sheryl Worthing, a by-election is not anticipated until early November.
