The Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake is set to the final payment for 2011 of a small community grant totaling more than $291,000 this month.
The funding comes as part of a shared $1.4 million grant to a number of communities across the North.
Fort St. James will receive a total of $381,754, the District of Vanderhoof, $396,129, and the District of Houston is set to receive more than $365,000 in Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF) grants.
Funds are allocated from the Small Community and Regional District grants and the amount of funding each community receives is based on population and assessment.
According to the province the grant funding allows communities to invest in their own priority projects.
"Local governments understand how to address local issues, which is why programs like the Strategic Community Investment Fund make such a difference. They give local governments the freedom to re-invest money in projects they have identified as priorities," said Nechako Lakes MLA John Rustad.
Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake chief administrative officer, Sheryl Worthing said the grant funds will be transferred to reserves for use during the 2012 budget year.
"We budget a constant amount each year and adjust according to the provinces payment schedule," she said.
