The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako (RDBN) celebrated the official 'go live' date for the 911 service last week by holding a celebration at the Island Gospel Church.
The RDBN services the areas of 亚洲天堂 Lake, Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Telkwa, Smithers and Houston.
Fire department representatives, RCMP officers and officials from across the RDBN were invited to join in with the celebrations.
All 13 First Nation communities within the RDBN have also signed on for the 911 service.
Since Oct. 25, 2011, the 911 emergency number has been active in the area.
