Grassy Plains School celebrates Indigenous Day

Grassy Plains School celebrated Indigenous Day on June 16. Cheslatta Carrier Nation Strong Start organized the day with Carrier Sekani Family Services. Chief Corrina Leween and Cheslatta elders Eva Peters and John Casimel spent time talking with the students. Chantal Reid, head start manager was on hand teaching students how to make bannock, play Lahal, mini drum making and they also did a grand entrance dance.
