亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP executed a search warrant for a marijuana grow operation. The rural property is approximately 25 kilometers east of 亚洲天堂 Lake on Hwy. 16.

At 11:49 a.m., police members arrived at the property and arrested a 46 yr. old female from Mission, a 41 yr. old male from Port Coquitlam, a 42 yr. old male from Mission, and a 24 yr. old male from Smithers.

A search of the property revealed evidence of an elaborate marijuana grow operation in an outbuilding. Directly beside the outbuilding was a residence which was believed to be inhabited by at least three of the accused persons.

Marijuana plants had been harvested prior to police arriving. However, police seized approximately 20 pounds of cannabis marijuana bud which had been removed from marihuana plants and ready for distribution.

Police also seized equipment used for growing marijuana and located two improperly stored rifles and ammunition inside the residence.

One of the rifles was loaded. A third rifle was located in the bush, very near to the residence.

All four accused have been released from police custody, to appear in the provincial court of 亚洲天堂 Lake on Feb. 3, 2012. 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP will be recommending charges of possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and production of a cannabis marijuana.
