The Hullcar Mountain wildifre is under control but a new fire has been discovered near Mabel Lake.

A new spot-sized blaze is being reported east of Armstrong, near Mabel Lake.

BC Wildfire Service reports the .009 hectare fire was discovered Monday, Aug. 19 near Christian Creek.

The suspected cause is lightning.

Meanwhile the Hullcar Mountain wildfire burning west of Armstrong is under control, as of Aug. 18.
