A welcoming committee organized by the Lakes District Clean Waters Coalition (LDCWC) came together last Saturday for the Kootenay to Kitimat Caravan.

The group is touring bringing their proclamation of support and solidarity to people who live along the proposed route of the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipelines project.

The caravan left the Kootenays on July 16, with events in Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake, Terrace, Kitimat… 1,600 Km in 10 days.

LDCWC stand for ‘supporting our right to refuse the pipelines access to our lands, communities and waters’.
