The family of a man who sadly passed away at the scene of a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 16 recently have asked that his name be released.

According to Cst. Robin Dupuis, from 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP Traffic Services, Theodore (Ted) George Davis, 56, a resident of , sustained fatal injuries in the tragic accident.

"Ted鈥檚 sister who lives in 亚洲天堂 Lake and his son who lives Houston have requested that his name be released," Cst. Dupuis said, adding that the family wishes that people respect their privacy during this time of grief.

As reported in the Lakes District 亚洲天堂 edition of March 28, 2012, at approximately 8:35 a.m. emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision involving a pick up truck and a tractor trailer on Hwy. 16, approximately 1.6 kilometres East of Six Mile Hill, near Topley.

RCMP requested a Terrace collision analyst attend the scene to assist in the investigation.

An initial investigation of the scene closed the highway for approximately seven hours, after which there was a single lane alternating for a further two hours.

The highway was fully reopened at 9 p.m.

"The roads were covered with icy and slippery sections, but at this time it is unknown if this is a factor.

It is also unknown if speed was a factor. The investigation is ongoing," said Cst. Dupuis.

亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
