亚洲天堂 Lake native Jeff Scott was terribly injured three years ago in a snowboarding accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Since then has worked with a strong group of friends and fellow travellers to establish the Live it! Love it! Foundation. The foundation works to provide outdoor recreation opportunities and activities for those who though they might never enjoy the outdoors again due to life-changing accidents or injuries.

Scott was part of an online campaign where entrants made a case for why and how a new, mobility-modified van would help with the entrant鈥檚 needs and hopes. Scott tailored his entry around the use that the van could be put to in helping with the foundation.

His current van, well-passed its best-before-date with more than 400,000 kilometres on the 20 year old machine, isn鈥檛 worth modifying to adapt to Scott鈥檚 specific needs. With a new van, he鈥檇 be able to get around as a solo-driver. He needs this for his work with the foundation.

Response to the online voting, now closed, was very strong. Exactly 20,551 votes were cast in support of Scott鈥檚 entry, putting him into the semi-finalist category - the top five percent of vote earners. The final selection is up to an independent panel of judges.
