Terry Teegee, who has served as Carrier Sekani Tribal Council鈥檚 Tribal Chief since 2012, is now the new regional chief of the B.C. Assembly of First Nations (BCAFN). He was elected during the BCAFN鈥檚 annual general meeting in Vancouver last month. Also running for this election was Chief Maureen Chapman of the Skawahlook First Nation. Each candidate received an equal number of votes on the first ballot, but Teegee won the second ballot by five votes.
