Children from Morice Williams Elementary and Decker Lake Elementary provided the music for the Lakes District Festival of the Performing Arts at Island Gospel Fellowship Hall on March 6. The kindergarten students from William Morice sang 鈥淗abanilthya Hinay鈥� in Carrier, about baby animals and the sounds they make. The kids from Decker Lake sang, danced and played the violin, piano, xylophone, drum and guitar for 鈥淚t鈥檚 Spring Time Darlin鈥欌��. The March 7 shows begin at 1:30 p.m. and feature classical, solo and duet and musical theatre performances. The festival runs until March 16 and all events are held at the Island Gospel church on Gerow Island. (Blair McBride photo)
