If you build it, they will come.

That popular sentiment might hold sway in some investment circles, but Kenny Worthing of Lakes District Diamond Drilling doesn鈥檛 see it that way in 亚洲天堂 Lake.

Worthing鈥檚 plan to set-up a temporary work camp beside the Lakeview Mall in 亚洲天堂 Lake is on hold because of current lack of interest in local camp facilities.

The Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake recently approved Worthing鈥檚 application to build a temporary work camp to house some of the approximately 200 workers anticipated to come to 亚洲天堂 Lake for work on the new hospital project, as well as the expansion of the Tom Forsyth Arena.

Both projects are officially underway, with excavators already at work digging out front of the arena. But a camper trailer parked across the street may say more about what to expect as workers temporarily relocate to 亚洲天堂 Lake.

鈥淧acific Constructors Limited, along with some of the contractors rebuilding the mill, feel that their sub-contractors will either stay in their RVs, hotels, or perhaps rent houses,鈥� Worthing said.

鈥淲ithout a commitment from the primary contractors and their sub-contractors, it is too high of a risk to put in the camp.鈥�

The proposed camp site is prepared and ready for camp set-up if interest eventually emerges.
