Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing affecting 鈥淰illage of Granisle Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 508-C, 2024鈥� will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 7:00PM, in Council Chambers, #1 Village Square, Mcdonald Ave., Granisle, BC.
鈥淰illage of Granisle Zoning Bylaw No. 508, 2019鈥� is proposed to be amended by Bylaw No. 508-C, 2024 which amends the Zoning Bylaw text as follows:
By deleting the current definition of Restaurant in Division Two Definitions and replacing it with 鈥渞estaurant鈥� means a place where meals are prepared and served to customers.
By adding the following definition into Division Two Definitions
鈥淐olumbarium鈥� means a structure or building or an area in a structure or building that contains, as an integral part of the structure or building or as freestanding sections, niches for the interment of cremated remains.
By Amending Section 3.13 Fence Heights to change the permitted measures in 3.13 a) and c) to be metres equal to 4ft and 6ft.
By Amending Section 3.19 to allow Laying Hens in the P-2 Institutional Zoning District
By amending 8.1 Park District P-1 in Division Eight Public Uses to add Cemetery and Columbarium to the list of Permitted Uses in section 8.1.1
At the Public Hearing all persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present a written submission respecting matters contained in the bylaw that is the subject of the Public Hearing.
Written submissions sent by mail to P.O. Box 128, Granisle BC, V0J 1W0; by fax to 1-(888)-335-4682 or by e-mail to general@villageofgranisle.ca must be received by the Village of Granisle no later than August 6,2024 at 1:00 P.M. to be ensured of consideration at the Public Hearing.
The Public Hearing on Bylaw No. 508-C, 2024 will be chaired by the Mayor or Deputy Mayor. Copies of the proposed bylaws and other relevant information may be inspected at the office of the Village of Granisle between the hours of 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 noon and 1 :00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, July 18,2024 through August 6, 2024 inclusive.
A copy of the proposed bylaw and other relevant information will also be made available at the Granisle Public Library and on the Granisle website .
