Alford James Harrison who was born on 8 December 1909 in Windermere B. C. departed this world on 10 April 2006 by his own choice. He was the second youngest child of Minnie and William Harrison who settled on the shores of Ootsa Lake at Wistaria in 1915 with their twelve children ranging in age from four to twenty-four. The men in the family trapped, hunted and prospected in Tweedsmuir Park and did what they could to provide for the family. He has now joined them all in the Happy Hunting Ground; he is the last survivor of that generation. In his ninety-six years he lived a varied, exciting and courageous life. A memorial service will be held at the Island Gospel Fellowship in 亚洲天堂 Lake at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2006 with Rev. Jim Massey officiating. Anyone with stories, recollections or reminiscences who would like to speak at the service will be given that opportunity.
To our immensely loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather: Alford, you have taught us all how to live life to the fullest! No flowers by request, instead please forward a donation to the Pines Comfort Fund.
