Born in Spokane, Wash. Jan. 1, 1926 passed away in the Pines care home Nov. 13, 2014.
Kay moved to Colleymount in 1927 from Spokane, Wash. with her mother Mable Roberts and little sister Jean. In 1944 Kay married Walter Robinson, had two children Shirley and Lewis.
Kay's life consisted of farming, gardening and cooking. She cooked 14 years at the Alaskaway restaurant. Kay loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and trapping with her daughter and son in law George MacLeod and grandchildren and great grandchildren. People would phone Kay and say want to go fishing? She would reply where are we going? Kay lived at Tintagel for a few years with her late husband Mike Remanda. She gardened and had a nice green house and lots of chickens, sold eggs to people all over town. Kay moved into Heritage Manor in 1996 where she loved living and still had a small garden which she enjoyed very much.
Upon leaving Heritage Manor Kay went to the Pines care home where she was very happy and loved the wonderful staff.
Kay is survived by her daughter Shirley (George) MacLeod, son Lewis (Lillian) Robinson, sisters Jean Patterson, Betty (George) Hamp, and sister in law Myrl Brewer of Creston, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
