Bonnie Jean Neville was born on May 9, 1924 in Tilson, Manitoba, she passed away in Grand Prairie, Alberta October 20, 2004.
Bonnie moved with her family from Manitoba to Palling in 1928. She attended school in Palling and after that she worked for families in the area doing cooking and cleaning.
Bonnie met Jeff Neville in 1940. They were married on November 23, 1942 and lived in Decker Lake, Palling and various camps.
Bonnie and Jeff lived on the Neville homestead where they farmed and Jeff also worked in logging operations throughout the Lakes District.
In 1986 they retired and moved to Smithers. After Jeff passed away in 1988, Bonnie moved to Houston in 1990. Last year, Bonnie moved back to 亚洲天堂 Lake.
Bonnie was an active member in the community, being involved in the Palling W.I., the Palling Recreation and the Lakes District Fall Fair over many years.
Bonnie made many life long friends in Palling, as well as Decker Lake and 亚洲天堂 Lake and in the later years, in Smithers and Houston. Bonnie enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flower beds and plants, and was always very involved in the farm.
After retiring to Smithers, Houston and then 亚洲天堂 Lake, she was still able to have a small flower bed where she could tend to her flowers and enjoy the beautiful blooms after her hard work.
She had many handiwork hobbies including knitting, crocheting, embroidery and cross-stitch. She enjoyed making new crafts and was able to display and sell her wares at local craft fairs. She always had something on the go, whether it be a new plastic canvas project, knitting a baby outfit for a family member or friend with a baby on the way, or mitts and socks to keep grandchildren warm.
She enjoyed picking berries - she was always in search of new berry patches, including Saskatoons, Huckleberries, Cranberries, Currents and Chokecherries.
Even after moving away from Palling, Bonnie enjoyed the opportunities to attend community gatherings such as the various potlucks held at the Palling Hall throughout the year and getting together with old friends for an evening of cards.
Bonnie is survived by sons Herbert (Nettie), Ernie (Joanne), Tom (Caren), nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
