Loving Mother and Dear Friend. Doreen Moman of Red Deer Alberta passed away quietly of natural causes at her Manor on Saturday, March 12/2011. Doreen is survived by her sons; Edward(Cathy) and Lawrence(Edna) and daughter Shelly Holt. Also all her grandchildren; Becky, Wesley, Harley, Derek, Chad, Jeremy, Matt, Jillian, Megan and Amanda.
Doreen was born the 5th child of 7 to Edward and Elizabeth Day in Minitonas Manitoba. Doreen is survived by all her siblings, Brothers- Ernest (Gail) Day, Jim Day and Frank (Jean) Day. Sisters; Lillian Sherman, Marjorie Henry and Shirley (Harvey) Marko.
She is predeceased by her Parents and loving Husband William Moman. When she graduated High school she went on to get her teaching certificate. And was teaching near the Ashern District when she met Willie. Doreen married Willie Moman on November 13/53 in Ashern Manitoba. They tried working the parents farm and she taught school. They moved to Kitimat in the spring of 55 following friends that were working the Alcan boom. Around 1960 they moved to Terrace where they made lots of lifetime friends. In 1969 they moved to the Lakes District where they raised there family. Doreen,s one true passion was being a grandmother, which she truly excelled at it. In 1987 they semiretired and moved out to Alberta to be closer to Shelly.
There will be a Celebration of Life on June 25th 2011 at Ootsa Lake/ Alcan campsite. She will be missed by all that were touched by her.
