George was born in Gavrelivtsi, Romania. At 18 month he cane to Canada with his mother to join his father in Kamsack, Saskatchewan. In his adult years he worked across Canada as a cook. miner, logger and heavy duty equipment operator. George loved the outdoors: hiking to find the illusive mountain goat, gold panning, hunting, fishing and his retirement passion, golf. In winter we could be found snowmobiling and at the local bowling alley or coffee shop, where he read the daily paper. He loved travel, especially visits to family and friends.
George was predeceased by his father, Mykola and mother Dora; his first wife, Marie; brothers-in-law Wille, Len and Ken. He leaves to carry on his wife Lori; sister Ann, brother Ed (Connie); sisters in law Marilyn (John), Maria; daugher Val (Don); son Gord (Diana); grandchildren Tisha (Steve), Dwayne (Ruth), Heather, Gwen and great grandchildren Jordan and Aidan and many nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank Dr. Graetz and the nursing staff, especially Kathy Morosky, for the great care that George receive in his last few days.
