Jackie (Brown) Horst passed away March 2, 2008, in Vancouver General Hospital. Born in 亚洲天堂 Lake, she lived in Fort St. John since 1951, but made almost yearly visits 鈥榖ack home鈥�, once the Hart Highway was completed. Jackie was pre-deceased by her mother, Florence (Brownie) Harrison and step-father, 鈥楿ncle Bill鈥� Harrison.
She will be long and lovingly remembered by her numerous friends and the many children (and their parents) that she provided day care for in her home over the past 30 years.
She will be sadly missed by her close family - Daughters: Beverley (Terry) Baker, Shirley Horst; Sons: Brian (Carole) Horst, Darryl (Wendy) Horst; Sister Alberta (Birdie) Madigan, half-sister Judy (Reid) Challis, and half-brothers Danny (Helen) Harrison and Jim (Louise) Brown. Grandchildren: Niki, Adam, Ashly, Caitlin, Conor, and Deni-Rae.
A memorial service was held in Fort St. John, March 10, 2008.
