July 27, 1938 to August 10, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful, loving mother, Jessie McLeod. Mom was a very private person but if you were lucky enough to get to know her, you saw a woman who had endured lots yet still chose to try and be positive about life.
The last few years had taken a toll on her health, yet she took it all in stride and tried her best to hide the pain she suffered from arthritis and various other health problems. Her passions were gardening and sewing. Winter months would be spent pouring over gardening magazines, planning for the summer planting. She was always willing to listen when you needed to talk or ready with a joke to cheer you up. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. They each had a supper night at Grannie's and she treasured the time she spent with them. They will miss not being able to stop by her house on the way home from school for a snack and a laugh.
She fought the good fight and she will remain forever in our hearts. While we mourn her passing we know that she is in a better place and we will see her again one day. She is predeceased by her mom, Jessie, dad Nelson, brothers Ed, Ross, a sister Marion and her son Scott. She leaves behind her daughter Kathy King (Rob) Chris, Emily and Abby, her son Dave McLeod (Carissa) Olivia-Grace and Nathan. There will be no funeral as per her wishes. Mom always wished she was Irish so she could have a good old fashion wake. So that's what we will do at a later date. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during this time. Your kindness is overwhelming.
Go in peace mom and know that we will be okay till we meet again.
