It is with profound sadness that the Williams family joins in mourning the loss of brother, uncle, father, grandfather, Hereditary Chief C'isbeen, Jim Williams. A passionate guardian of his culture and traditions, Jim always captivated youth at all culture camps- sharing stories, playing guitar, and inspiring a deep appreciation for our heritage.

Jim's ability to share his traditional knowledge about Carrier Laws and ways of being will forever be imbedded in our work. As we continue to develop a system to take care of our children and improve the health of our people based on our ways of knowing, the wisdom Jim shared will guide us.

He shared not only his traditional knowledge but also teachings from the many courses he completed. Jim firmly believed in empowering and healing Nations through culture, spirituality, and love.

Our hearts go out to the Williams family and to everyone whose lives he touched. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering spirit will forever be cherished.

Jim will be missed by all.
