JOHN HART
May 29, 1930 - Dec. 3, 2005
A Celebration of Life service for John was held Dec. 10, 2005 at the Immaculata Parish with Rev. Jim Massey officiating.
John was born in Prince George to Harry and Elsa Hart. After his mother passed away in 1936 John, sister Anne and brother George moved to their maternal grandparents farm in Grassy Plains where he spent his younger years.
After moving to 亚洲天堂 Lake in 1945 John went to work for Tweedsmuir Motors and later 亚洲天堂 Lake Hardware and Garage where, in August 1950 he completed a four year apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic. John worked for various service stations as well as driving school bus. In 1955 he bought Larry鈥檚 Service which he operated for seventeen years, working many long hours to create a successful business. After selling the garage John found he had too much energy to retire and took a job 鈥渕echanicing鈥 school buses for a further nineteen years.
John cherished his home and his family and whenever possible camping, boating, picnicing, or snowmobiling outings were arranged with family and friends. He loved to drive the side roads, there are few in BC that he didn鈥檛 explore. In his retirement years he enjoyed senior golfing with a group of friends, curling and playing cards.
John will be remembered by many for his sunny smile, love of children, visits to ailing friends, his willingness to help anytime, anywhere and his ability to fix anything.
John will be forever loved and missed by wife Betty, son Warren (Donna) and grandsons Wesley (Annette) and Cameron.
