Julia, aged 90, passed away at the Lakes District Hospital on August 21st, 2017 with her daughter Maureen at her side.
She was born in Palmer, Saskatchewan in 1927 to Ernest and Gladys Payne. They moved to Rose Lake when she was three and it 鈧瑆as there she grew up and then continued to stay in the Rose Lake/Decker Lake area.
Julia worked at various jobs, including peeling ties, and working in grocery stores, and could do math easily in her head right up until the day she passed.
She married Ed Antonenko in 1952. Along came Moe and Sam, and as a family they enjoyed many camping and fishing trips.
Julia always had the coffee on for family, neighbours and friends, and was known for the treats that went with: Lazy Daisy cake - butter tarts and cookies.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who involved herself as much as she could as they were growing up.
Julia is survived by her daughters Maureen (Dale); Sandy (Rick); grandchildren Jocelyn (Jason), Jason, Michelle (Kevin), Michael (Jen), 鈧琓anya (Ameet), Billy (Jordyn), Spencer, Corbin; great-grandchildren Aidan, Connor, Kennedy, Jordyn, Kaytlyn, Tyson, Kayleb, Sydney, 鈧珹bbigale, Delaney, Anara, Shep.
