It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mariam Adeline Nobles/Holland at Trinity Care Centre on March 12, 2017 at the age of 90 years.
Addie was born in 亚洲天堂 Lake, BC on February 27, 1927, the daughter of Robert and Ellen Gerow. Addie was the 5th child in a family of 15 children.
Addie loved helping out in her community. Addie had a varied work life which included work as the head cook at Haven Hill Retirement Centre in Penticton B.C. and later as a Community Health Rep in Morristown B.C.
Addie was born in 亚洲天堂 Lake B.C. where she met and married Oral Platt Nobles on December 9 1944 for 37 years. During their time together they lived in 亚洲天堂 Lake, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Southbank and Summerland/Penticton and had 3 children, Violet M Green, Robert G Nobles and L. Marie Nobles.
After the passing of Oral Platt Nobles in 1981 Addie went to Granisle to visit her son and met up with her young romance Peter Holland. They were married on April 5th 1984 in Telkwa B.C. Addie and Peter were Married for 13 happy years before Peter sadly passed away in 1997.
Later Addie moved to Penticton B.C. to be closer to family. In 2010 Addie fell in love with Grant Jensen at the Concorde Retirement Home in Penticton. The first words he said when they met was 鈥 Will you marry me, 鈥 Addie鈥檚 response was 鈥淚 don鈥檛 even know you.鈥 Their feelings for each other was remarkable. Sadly Grant passed away from Cancer in 2015.
Addie was a loving, caring, kind soul for all family and friends and will be missed dearly. Addie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Predeceased by 8 brothers and 5 sisters.
Lovingly remembered by her children Violet M (Bill) Green, Robert (Linda) G Nobles, L. Marie Nobles, sibling Edward (Bonnie) Gerow. 8 Grandchildren: Roberta (Lance) Norman, Michael M Takacs, Robert (Anita) Gill, Robert O Nobles, Arthur O Gill Blake (Kaz) Nobles, John (Tina) Middleton, Rex (Sherri) Gill. With 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren with one on the way. Followed by a great number of family and friends and adopted grandchildren including Maria Brunskill and Jeff Sturdy.
Service was Sunday March 19th 11:00 am at The Seventh Day Adventist Church 290 Warren Ave. Penticton BC. Burial was Monday 20th at the Penticton Cemetery.
