Mom was born in Prince George, BC and grew up in Penny BC. Her long life of mothering started at 10 years old when her mom died. She learned to garden, sew, canned moose meat, baked bread and cook as she help her dad raise the rest of the children. The whole community helped her family especially the Boudreau family. At 22 years she married Ray Adams and worked as a cook in several logging camps as well as started her own family. When they settled at Wistaria on Ootsa Lake she ran a little store as well as gardened, canned, sewed, and knit for her family. When Mom and Dad moved into 亚洲天堂 Lake in 1960 she started in the kitchen at the 亚洲天堂 Lake hospital and worked there for 17 years. All through these years of working she took in at least 10 boarders - young students from around the area and made them a home away from home. After she retired she was able to travel and enjoy her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her house plants, her flower garden and her little dogs especially her last little Pomeranian (Jenny). During her last few years when her eye sight and hearing faded her main outings would be her grocery shopping where she loved to socialize. During her life she made some wonderful friends whom she cherished. Now she is without pain and no more worries. We will miss her and love her.
A very special thank you to Mom's doctors and nurses who gave her such special care at the end of her life.
