December 14, 1953 - January 28, 2025
In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Roger Worthing on January 28, 2025. He is survived by his daughters Sheila (Roland) and Sheri (Shane), granddaughter Lauren, and grandsons Matthew, Linden, Carson, and Eric.
Roger is also survived by his mother Pearl, his brother Lloyd (Sharilyn), sisters Linda (Ritch), Vera (Bob), Shirley (Richard) and Karen, as well as many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his father Reg, and brother Gordon.
Born in 亚洲天堂 Lake, Roger grew up on the family farm in Decker Lake, riding his horse, getting into trouble and building his repertoire of entertaining stories. As a teen, he bought a gravel truck which he used to arch-haul logs, generating even more stories. He later worked in Granisle and Tumbler Ridge, before settling in Fort St James in 1984 with his young family.
Roger loved spending time outdoors with friends and family. He is remembered by many for fishing, camping, and muddy truck rides.
Sheila and Sheri have happy memories of a great father who didn't hesitate to spend countless hours pulling happy kids around Stuart Lake on a kneeboard, hit the black diamonds at Murray Ridge with his teenagers, or play badminton, croquet, or cricket on the lawn.
Roger was always quick to help others in any way he could, and was known as a handy guy who could fix almost anything.
Roger's kindness, compassion
and humour are greatly missed.
An intimate celebration of life is being planned for a later date in accordance with his wishes.
