Mar 7, 1964 - Dec 19, 2017
Terry Casiman Jack was born in Vancouver General Hospital on March 7, 1964 and he weighed 6 lbs. He lived with his mother Mabel and father Casimel in Vancouver until he was school aged; then he went to live with his grandma Mary Skin and grandpa Johnny Skin on the farm on Amendt Road. Terry's grandmother Mary was 106 years old when she died in 亚洲天堂 Lake, BC.
Terry attended the Le Jack Residential school until he came back home at the age of 16. Before attending residential school, Terry went to public school at Grassy Plains.
His uncles Frank and Francois taught him how to hunt and trap for this he knew all of his traditional ways. He grew up with horses and cows for most of his life. He was a very avid horseman like his dad in his younger days.
Terry has one son, Brandon Jack and had one daughter Chassidy Charlie who passed away a few years ago. He loved his children, always showing pictures of them as they grew up. He was always a proud father. Talking about pictures Terry loved them. He always had one of those old school disposable cameras in his pocket; we never really knew where he kept getting those as we haven't had a film developer in town forever. He kept and remembered all the times and events in every picture he took.
Terry went through a lot in his life; he was strong as an ox for most of it and he wouldn't hesitate to show you his muscles.
He worked in Johnny Weins sawmill and did numerous other jobs through his life including horse logging with his brother Stanley. Then he got hurt and was in the hospital for months having to learn how to walk again; he showed the true Jack resilience through this and other trials in his life up until the day he was taken from us.
Anyone that knew Terry knows he had a limp, but you would also know that it didn't stop him from going anywhere. He was always boogying around town and hitching a ride from the ferry to go visiting at all his friend' s places.
Here is a short story about Terry as a kid; he remembers being tied up to the porch outside granny's house when he was a kid, one day he was complaining about this to his cousin Helen and she said "What are you whining about, we were all tied up to granny's porch at one point!"
Another story that his brothers and mom remember are when they lived in New Westminster there were really big hills there. His brothers Ted, Richard and Stanley used to push Terry down the hills in a baby buggy and try and catch him, let's just say they didn't always catch him. Probably like the times when they had their Indian swing made of two pieces of rope and a blanket. His brothers use to push Terry so hard he would do a complete circle.
His brothers, mom and the rest of the family will reminisce about these memories for the rest of their lives.
