In loving memory ~
Ted passed away peacefully in the Lakes District Hospital and Health Centre.
He was born near Osler, Saskatchewan on the dairy farm of his parents. After graduating in 1945 he moved and worked underground as a mine shaft timber foreman at the International Nickel mine in Sudbury, Ontario. A short while later he returned to North Battleford, Saskatchewan to work in a milk processing plant. In these years he met his future wife, Mary Eveneshen. They were married on October 6, 1949. Children Ken, Kerry and Adele were born in the next few years and in September of 1956, the family moved to 亚洲天堂 Lake for Ted's new job working with his brother John at the Esso bulk delivery agency. Their youngest son Glen was born in 1964.
In 1967, Ted and his brother-in-law George Eveneshen bought V&A Building Supplies which became Gateway Building Supplies. A Rotarian during this time, he volunteered in the many community events of the day, donating employees and equipment to help build the arena. The business was sold in 1978 and he semi-retired to a life of Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake building inspection, woodworking, trapping, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Ken (Lorna), Kerry (Alyson), Adele (Joe) and Glen (Chris), Jenny (Martin, Aurora, and Luke), Kevin (Terrie, Teddy and Gwen), Taryl (Keith) and Juline (Gerry) as well as many nieces, nephews and families.
He leaves us with a lifetime of good times and fond memories.
Donations gratefully accepted in his memory to the Pines Family Council in support of their excellent compassion and care.
