Born in 亚洲天堂 Lake, he was the second child of Olof and Violet. He grew up on a farm out in Forestdale with his parents, his sisters, Helene, Ester and Linda and his brother Louie. He attended the Rose Lake School and then, following the standard of his time, he dropped out of school in his early teens and went into the work force. He began his career in the forest industry working in a mill. He moved on to become a tie hacker and eventually became known as one of the most skilled fallers in this area. He fell trees in a time when you still yelled "Timber." When not working, he loved to be in the outdoors. His favourite things were fishing, hunting and gardening. He would hunt all types of wild game, his favourite being the moose. He had many fish stories to tell although, like a true fisherman, would never share the location of his favourite fishing hole. Maxan Lake, a fishing pole and a warm beer made for one of his favourite days. Ted's sense of humour was enjoyed by many. When growing up him and his sister, Helene, they were often in trouble for their pranks. He loved cats and his own got lots of TLC. His kind heart and quiet ways made him the special person he was. Teddy didn't have a long list of wants or needs. He took pride in all his jobs, worked hard and appreciated the simpler things in life. He didn't wander far from his original home in Forestdale. He lived for a while in Rose Lake, some years in the Nass Valley and most of his adult years in Topley. Teddy spent the last 16 years receiving excellent care at the Pines. During his first years there, he would laugh and say how much he appreciated having someone to do all the cooking and the cleaning. He spent many hours doing puzzles and playing a good game of crib. He could have his cards and his opponents' cards counted as soon as the cards were on the table. he called the Pines his home.
Teddy was predeceased by his dad in 1961, his mom in 2001, his sister Ester in 1999 and his brother, Louie in 2004. Teddy passed away at age 79 on May 25, 2011. He was laid to rest in the 亚洲天堂 Lake Cemetery.
