William (Bill) James Brinnen

Bill passed away on Oct. 10th in Nanaimo Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Glenna; his sons, Mike (Therese) of Smithers, and Christopher (Karri) of Kelowna; his daughter Whitney Christie (Tony) of Quesnel; his step-daughter Kelly of Parksville; and his step-son, Lee Perkins (Koko) of Coquitlam; 11 grandchildren; his sisters Marianne Hall (John) of Comox and Pat Stafford (Jeff Christianson) of Vanderhoof. Bill also leaves behind nieces, nephews and many very close friends. He is predeceased by his 1st wife Jo-ann (Blackbeard) and mourned by his second wife/friend Barb (nee Rankin). Predeceased by his parents Cecil & Mary Brinnen. Bill grew up in Prince George and began working for the Ministry of Forests when he was in his early 20's until his retirement in 1997. His career had him moving throughout North Central B.C. ending in 亚洲天堂 Lake. After retirement he moved to the Comox Valley, where he met and married Glenna, eventually settling in Parksville. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Knox United Church in Parksville at 2 pm on Sunday October 25. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Hemochromatosis Society or the BC Cancer Agency.
