Apr 21, 1922 - Feb 14, 2018
Predeceased by his wife Anne, son Thomas and stepson Lorne.
Bill grew up in the depression in Southern BC on a Dairy Farm with one brother and two sisters. The Glanville farm functioned on honesty and sincerity, which became the foundation in his own home and life.
Dad's ethics were evident in the success of many endeavours and career choices as an entrepreneur including the following; Auto Dealership/Garage, Snowmobile Dealership, Underwater Tree Clearing, Placer Gold Mining, Pilot, Logging/Sawmilling, Cattle Farm, Built at least 4 of his own homes, School Trustee, Volunteer Fire Chief, President and later the Deputy Governor of the Kinsmen, and Volunteer Ambulance Attendant.
Dad led by example and when he spoke, it was always wise to listen to what he had to say. He was ever generous with his knowledge and his time. Dad was humbly proud of his success and very proud of his family. We all loved and respected him deeply, and we will miss him.
Dad had a love for life that included family, friends, the outdoors, any mechanical challenge, a good story, a hearty laugh, and old time music. None of us can remember a time he turned down either a slice of pie or a shot or two of good Whiskey.
Bill leaves behind sons Dan and Rex (Karen), daughter Dana, Grandchildren, Tasha, Jay, Debbie, Ron, and Linda.
The Glanville family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr Greg Norman, Dr Tammy Williams, all the HealthCare, and Hospital Staff, numerous family, friends and neighbours for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and good deeds.
There will be no Service at the request of the Family.
A Celebration of Life TBA at a later date.
