Editor:
An article in the Aug. 31, 2011 issue of the Lakes District 亚洲天堂 has been brought to my attention while I am over in the U.K.
It was headed "Another gap in physician coverage," reporting my sudden and unexpected departure from 亚洲天堂 Lake. Apparently, it was reported that Steve Raper, of Northern Health, did not know why I had left.
It may be that he was being discrete because the appropriate officer in Northern Health, not Steve of course, was kept aware fully of the circumstances of my departure.
Therefore, to avoid dangerous speculation by those who are prone to such activity, may I tell you why I left so precipitously.
On the morning of Aug. 15, I heard that my daughter Joanne, had been taken into hospital with an unexpected deterioration of a serious condition about which some of your readers will be aware.
I was on the plane back on the Wednesday. I apologize that I did not take the time to report in to the Lakes District 亚洲天堂 the reasons for my going, but the important individuals did know.
I am currently part of the team giving 24/7 care to her and I'm sure your prayers are for our family.
I wish to reassure your readers that when this is all over, I intend to return to 亚洲天堂 Lake, although just now, the time scale cannot be predicted.
In the meantime, I hope that I can depend on your understanding in this difficult time for 亚洲天堂 Lake.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alan M. Hill
