In October 2016, Bill and I reluctantly left 亚洲天堂 Lake - our home for 42 years - to be closer to our growing family.

While we enjoy our kids and grandkids and the amenities of the 鈥渂ig city鈥� of Courtenay, we miss our little town and friends 鈥渂ack home.鈥� The arrival in our mailbox of the Lakes District 亚洲天堂 is an occasion of delight.

Even after nine months in the 鈥渂ig city,鈥� the sound of mail being deposited in our mailbox is a thrill. On Wednesday I opened the lid to see an intriguing sight: the top half of the front page of the June 28 Lakes District 亚洲天堂, with the headline 鈥楳eet the new 亚洲天堂 Lake doctors鈥� beside a photo of two of the cutest little physicians I ever did see.

鈥淢y goodness,鈥� I thought, 鈥淚 know it鈥檚 hard to find doctors willing to go north, but these ones seem a bit young.鈥�

The article, of course, continued on page 7 with photos of the actual doctors, and the cuties, of course, were participants in the June 21 Aboriginal Days.

I spent the rest of the day, however, imagining whether their 鈥渘ew model of care鈥� would be built of playdough or Lego.
