Editor:
In October 2016, Bill and I reluctantly left 亚洲天堂 Lake - our home for 42 years - to be closer to our growing family.
While we enjoy our kids and grandkids and the amenities of the 鈥渂ig city鈥 of Courtenay, we miss our little town and friends 鈥渂ack home.鈥 The arrival in our mailbox of the Lakes District 亚洲天堂 is an occasion of delight.
Even after nine months in the 鈥渂ig city,鈥 the sound of mail being deposited in our mailbox is a thrill. On Wednesday I opened the lid to see an intriguing sight: the top half of the front page of the June 28 Lakes District 亚洲天堂, with the headline 鈥楳eet the new 亚洲天堂 Lake doctors鈥 beside a photo of two of the cutest little physicians I ever did see.
鈥淢y goodness,鈥 I thought, 鈥淚 know it鈥檚 hard to find doctors willing to go north, but these ones seem a bit young.鈥
The article, of course, continued on page 7 with photos of the actual doctors, and the cuties, of course, were participants in the June 21 Aboriginal Days.
I spent the rest of the day, however, imagining whether their 鈥渘ew model of care鈥 would be built of playdough or Lego.
Thanks for brightening my day. Keep up the excellent work.
Warmly,
Jacqui Graham
