The Lakes District Secondary School boys soccer team returned from provincials in Nakusp with two wins and three losses. Goals from Spencer Brown, Marlon Bloomfield, Steven Strizich and Aiden Martens. One referee stated that this team played with βmore heart on the field than any team there.β They were also lucky to have no snow in Nakusp on the weekend. The ΡΗΦήΜμΜΓ Lake Community Forests donated $3800 while NAPA Auto Parts Polar Park Automotive donated $400 and CIBC donated $500 to support the team. This is the last year of play for Ben Brochez, Steven Strizich, Skyler Tizya Baker, Thomas Wilner and Avery Wilson.
