ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Community Forest and Chinook Community Forest both donated $2000 to the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Youth Soccer Club. The ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃLake Youth Soccer Club U13 girls select team has qualified for the BC Soccer Provincial Youth Championships by placing silver in therecent Northern Cup Qualifiers. This assures them placement as one of the top eight teams in the province and enters them in the ClubChampionship Tournament being held in Kamloops July 5-8. (Submitted photo)

LDSS bids farewell to staff members

Lakes District Secondary School (LDSS) has recently bid farewell to a few staff members. Sarah de Bruijn (L), who has worked at LDSS forthe past four years, was instrumental in developing both the foods program and earth science program at LDSS. In addition, she hasbeen an active sponsor of girls’ basketball and the social justice club. Matt Moore (M), who has decided to move his family toVancouver Island, taught junior science and math for most of his time at LDSS.
