The 亚洲天堂 Lake Public Library鈥檚 annual book sale is underway, with the help of several volunteers including Ruth Young (pictured). Mining has been an important part of this area鈥檚 economy for more than 100 years. The industry got its start early in the twentieth century when a man named Charles S. (Charlie) Anderson located a promising ore body north of 亚洲天堂 Lake.

Vancouver Island man asks people to consider the greater good

Eight boats participated in the the light up the lake boat parade on Aug. 25, organized by the tourism centre of the Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake. The event had over 100 people in attendance. In addition to the dressed up boats, there was live music from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as several food vendors and games set up in the field at Spirit Square.
