Nelson's Jazmine Lowther put on a dominant performance to capture the Ultra Trail Cape Town 100-kilometre ultramarathon in Cape Town, South Africa on Saturday.
Lowther won the open women's race in 12 hours four minutes 25 seconds and finished seventh overall among all runners. Her time was 46 minutes ahead of the second-place female runner.
It's Lowther's first win at a 100-plus km race , although she also was at a race in Spain. In July she won a 50-km event in Utah and suffered a DNF at a race in Mont-Blanc, France in August.
