The Starland Timber Mart鈥檚 23rd anniversary customer appreciation day was held on Sept. 16. 鈥淲e鈥檝e been doing this now for 23 years,鈥� said owner Trennis Wiens. Starland鈥檚 idea is to add value to their customers so this year they brought in more vendors. 鈥淚 gotta keep the doors open,鈥� said Wiens. A part from business vendors, the 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP was also part of the event to demonstrate their police vehicle. 鈥淟ast year, they had the fire department here.

Every year on Fuel Good Day, Co-op donates a minimum of 10 cents per litre of fuel purchased at participating gas bars to local charities and non-profits. The Co-op gas bar in 亚洲天堂 Lake raised funds for the 亚洲天堂 Lake and District Community Foundation through the Good Fuel program on Sept. 19. Ten cents from every litre sold at the Co-op gas bar in 亚洲天堂 Lake will be donated to the community foundation.

A Fall poker ride was organized by the 亚洲天堂 Lake Snowmobile Club on Saturday, Sept. 23. Participants for the poker ride met up on Babine Lake Road. There was an entry fee of $20 per hand and also a 50-50 raffle. The club was also selling their quad raffle tickets on site. There were 98 riders and 253 poker hands were sold and on site raffle for a pruning saw went very well. 鈥漌e did sell a bunch of tickets for our quad raffle and there are still some available.

The Big Pig hosted by Ride 亚洲天堂 on Sept. 23 at Boer Mountain in 亚洲天堂 Lake. The event kick started on Friday, Sept. 22 with the kids mountain biking event and ended on Sunday, Sept. 24.
