The evacuation alerts for the Nadina Lake and Verdun Wildfires were lifted on Oct. 15 by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.
The fires in those areas - also known as the Babine Complex - were under control and not expected to spread from their containment lines after the fire suppression efforts, Carolyn Bartos, Fire Information Officer at Northwest Fire Centre of BC Wildfire Service told Lakes District 亚洲天堂.
However, Bartos added that the fires were still active and could start in areas with unburned fuel, and winds might ignite hot spots.
The rescinding of the alerts followed the lifting of the full evacuation order on Sept. 12.
Monitoring by BC Wildfire Service was ongoing and suppression action would take place as needed.
