Canadian veterans, cadets, and all first responders of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake paid tribute to the fallen and those who have courageously answered the call of duty on Remembrance Day at the Lakes District Secondary School in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on Nov. 11. The day started with a parade by veterans, cadets, and first responders to assemble at the school’s gym. Everyone sang O Canada inside the gym, and two minutes of silence was recognized. The Lakes District Community Choir then sang ‘In Flanders Fields’; momentarily, the ceremonial wreaths were placed by local First Nation and other leaders. After the ceremony, residents were invited up to put their poppy on the ceremonial wreaths. More pictures on page 10 and 11. (Saddman Zaman photos/Lakes District ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ)
