ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake girls soccer won both games in Vanderhoof on June 18 - it was the final tournament is the year. Earlier on June 4 was ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Youth Soccers mini tournament, hosting teams from Vanderhoof, Fort St. James and Fraser Lake. Players were from ages five to 11. There was 200 plus children participating. U6, U8 and U10 soccer players. Vanderhoof sent seven teams, Fort St. James five and Fraser Lake five and we had eight teams of our own.

Lakes District Pony Club riding clinic

Lakes District Pony Club held a clear round and derby clinic. Clear rounds is six round of jumping starting with poles on ground then upping the height every round - the max the riders jumped at this clinic was 3.3 feet. Derby rounds is a combination of stadium fences cross country fences. The riders had a choice of doing either or or a combination of both. Riders varied in age from ages six to adult.

ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Community Foundation made a donation to ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Soccer $4500. The foundation’s grant cycle opens early in the year and closes by the end of March. LDSS girls soccer team won their Zones Championships in Prince George May 19-20 and then headed to Langley on June 2-4, for the Single A Provincial Soccer Championships. There were 16 teams participating and the LDSS soccer team place 13. They played 10 games in total and in their last game they won by a shoot out. Well done girls!
